Z6580 .56-50 Spencer Rimfire Cartridge by FVV&Co.
Description: Decent example of a .56-50 Spencer carbine rimfire cartridge used in the Model 1865 Spencer carbine. This example has the impressed F.V.V&Co. headstamp and was manufactured by Fitch Van Vechten & Co. They manufactured rimfire cartridges between 1864-1866. This example has a flat nose bullet, and a copper case with three crimps around the casing. This cartridge would stand out if it had a proper cleaning. The headstamp is very strong and it has the FVV lines down the side of the case. A nice example that is slightly ugly in appearance!
