Z6588 75-Bore Needlefire Cartridge by Eley of London

Description: Nice example of the 75-Bore or .31 cartridge for use in the single shot "Garden Guns.” These cartridges were popular in Europe from the 1850’s to the 1890’s. The cartridge is made of brass foil and wrapped in paper. The primer is in the base or head of the cartridge. A decent example with a soiled case and a blue paper wrap holding the ball onto the case.

Headstamp: Orange label reads, "ELEY’s Needle Gun Cartridge”

Measures: D .431” OAL 1.198”
