Z6652 .56-56 Spencer Cartridge with Raised "U” Headstamp
Description: Scarce .56-56 Spencer carbine and rifle cartridge manufactured by The Union Metallic Cartridge Company in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This example has the scarce raised "U” headstamp with the broken "U” caused by a broken bunter. The very bottom of the "U” has a break. This is a nice example with an evenly oxidized bullet and a spotted case. The raised "U” headstamp was used for a very short period of time.
