Z6705 .44 Martin Primed Cartridge for Colt & Remington Revolvers
Description: Nice .44 Martin-primed cartridge for use with the Colt & Remington conversion revolvers. These were manufactured at the Frankford Arsenal between 1871-1873. It has a 225-grain .44 bullet with 30-grains of powder. Suydam states that these were manufactured for Colt’s Richardson conversion Army revolver and an open-top cartridge gun. He states that the exact Remington conversion is unknown. This cartridge does not have the re-entrant fold found on the S&W cartridges. A nice Indian War cartridge out of a packet dated June 1871.
