Z6718 .30 Auto Cartridge for the "Top Secret” Pedersen Device
Description: Nice .30 automatic cartridge for use with the WWI top secret Pedersen Device. The Pedersen device was created during WWI. It was used to convert the 1903 Springfield rifle into a semi-automatic weapon. It was considered a classified piece at the time which is why the box label states the ammo is for a .30 Auto pistol M1918. If the ammunition fell into the wrong hands, they would think it’s for an automatic pistol and not for use with the rifle. Fortunately, WWI ended before the devices could be used. This round is one of several pulled directly out of an original box. A must have for any WWI collector. I have included a photo of a box for the ammunition which is not for sale.
