Description: Very nice cartridge for the patented tube-loading Maxim Pistol of the late 1880’s. The pistols don’t appear to have been manufactured in numbers large enough to require serialization. All the cartridges are manufactured by Eley of London. The boxes come in a few different colors while the paper handwritten tags appear to be uniform. This example has a flat nose lead bullet, a brass case, and a copper primer.
