Z6818 MBA 13MM Bundy-Tube Gyrojet Rocket
Description: Nicely sectioned example of a 13mm Gyrojet rocket with the experimental Bundy-tube case with a single cannelure. Bundy-Tubes were manufactured by the Bundy Tubing Company of Michigan and were used in the automotive industry. They were perfect for Gyrojet tubes because the copper-plated steel sheets could be rolled and soldered.
You can see the riveted aluminum nose, steel nozzle and aluminum foil sealant. The inside of the cartridge shows a simulated propellant and treated paper igniting strip. The four-port steel nozzle spins freely and will not come out of the tube. A nicely sectioned example of an experimental case!
