Z6820 .36 Revolver Cartridge M. Hayes’ Patent
Description: Nice .36 or 84 gauge revolver cartridge manufactured under M. Hayes’ Patent by Broux & Moll of London. This is a .36 skin cartridge wrapped in a paper envelope with a linen pull tab. This protects the cartridge from the elements while giving the nitrated skin portion protection from damage. These were imported for use in the American Civil War. Nice example with very little soiling. The pink paper base cover is missing. These could have been used in any .36 revolver such as the M1851 Colt Navy revolver The label reads as follows:
