Z6696 British 41st Regiment of Foot Button (War of 1812)
Description: Decent excavated one-piece pewter button with an Arabic "41” at the center of a starburst. This is the pewter version known as the other ranks or enlisted men button. This example is missing the iron loop shank which rusted away. There is some edge loss, but the face is clear and legible.

The 41st Regiment of Foot was deployed to Canada in 1802. They were awarded honors for action in the following battles in the War of 1812: Detroit, Queenstown, Miami, and Niagara.

Backmark: Illegible
Measures: 15.87mm at the widest portion.
