Description: Nice "board dummy” example known as the .40-70 Ballard cartridge. This cartridge was manufactured for the Ballard Perfection No. 4 Rifle. It has a wooden dowel on the interior and has three holes punched into the case on the board side. It has a flat nose paper patched bullet, a brass case, and a large copper primer. Nice example with one very small dent on the front side.
