Description: Very nice thin walled two- piece brass shotshell manufactured by Eley of London. This shell was designed for a 12-bore gun and used a 10-bore wad. This example is a N.P.E. with a brass hull and cup. The battery cup and primer are copper. The cup on this example measures .609” from the base. There are online sources that place a date of this headstamp between 1895-1919. This style of shell was eventually used in the chamberless shotguns of the 1920’s. This example has a nice casing with a few small spots and one larger spot.
