Z7125 Federal 20lb Parrott "Case-Shot” Artillery Shell
Description: Nice long pattern 20lb. Parrott "case-shot” shell with the Type III brass sabot. It weighs just a little over 18lbs. which is consistent with shells loaded with case-shot. The brass ring sabot is intact and there are remnants of a zinc percussion fuse in the nose. It has been drilled and flushed through the nose and there are two holes on the sides opposite each other. The iron has mild pitting that is evenly distributed across the surfaces. There are two dings in the side of the nose which are more than likely the result of impact. A very nice example!
