Z7146 12 Ga. Robin Hood "Comet” Shotshell
Description: Decent example of the purple 12 Ga. "Comet” shotshell manufactured by the Robin Hood Powder Company of Swanton, Vermont. This example has been fired and the primer is missing. The Robin Hood Powder Company was founded in 1898 and became The Robin Hood Ammunition Company in 1906. Klinect states the "Comet” shotshell was introduced in 1904 and was loaded with smokeless powder. Decent high brass example with a high brass cup and uniform color. Based on the case mouth, this example may have been fired more than once.
