Z7215 MBA .49 Gyrojet Rocket with Experimental Red Paper Sealant
Description: Very nice experimental .49 Gyrojet rocket with a truncated nose. It has a carbon steel body and nozzle. The nozzle is held in place with a single cannelure at the rear of the case. This is one variation of the experimental waterproofing seals used on the .49 Gyrojets. The entire base is coated with a red sealant and then the ports were covered with a red strip of paper. This example is in very nice condition with a few small surface rust spots. A hard-to-find variant with the red paper seal! Check out Mel's book to see the other listed experimental waterproofing sealants on Pg. 127.
