Z7282 .28 Colt "Root” Revolver Bullet Mold
Description: Very nice dual cavity mold for use with the Colt 1855 Side Hammer "Root” revolver. This example has a brass body with an iron sprue cutter. This is in excavated condition and the sprue cutter is rusted with heavy pitting. The right handle is slightly bent upwards and mentioned for exactness. The left side still partially swivels open revealing a dual cavity. There is a cavity for a .28 roundball and a .28 ball projectile. There are some shiny surfaces from opening the mold, but you can still see the inside which is the important part. An excellent dug mold for the Colt "Root” revolver.
Measures: OAL 4.25”
Recovered: Unknown
