Z7315 .40-70 Sharps Straight "Board Dummy” Cartridge by W.R.A.Co.
Description: Decent .40-70 Sharps Straight wood rod board dummy cartridge by Winchester. These were used in the Sharps Model 1874 mid-range rifles. They first appeared in the 1880 Winchester catalogue and were gone by 1914. This example has a flat nose bullet, a 2.5” brass case and a #1 oval brass primer. There are two holes on the board side and one small dent next to the front hole. This example has some spotting and still retains quite a bit of the original lacquer.
