Z7396 Brass .50-70 Martin-Primed Cartridge I.E.P.#328V
Description: Very rare .50-70 Martin-primed cartridge with a brass case. Lewis notes these as Springfield manufactured cartridge dating to 1869. Most of these cartridges have a copper case, and this is an experimental brass case variant. The measurements are slightly off from the example listed in Lewis’s book. The rim is a little larger than your standard .50-70 Martin-primed example and this variant has the reentrant fold. The brass case has cylindrical throating, and the bullet is lightly oxidized. A very rare variant!
