Federal 16Ga. "RELIABLE” Shotshell Box Print Plate 1930's
Description: Scarce original print plate used on the 16Ga. Federal "RELIABLE” shotshell boxes. The Hipower Reliable series of shotshells was manufactured between 1931-1938. This print plate uses the later style of duck which was used towards the later end of that timeframe. The block is made of wood with three steel plates that are copper plated. There would have been several blocks in the series to layer all of the colors on to the sides and bottoms of the boxes. This is Plate No. B and is marked accordingly with 16 GA stamped into one end. An excellent piece of Federal’s early shotshell production!
