Z7500 Aqua Barry’s Tricopherous for the Skin and Hair Bottle (Fort Pembina)
Description: This is one of several items recovered from the Fort Pembina privies. Fort Pembina was located just west of the Red River and was built to watch over the Sioux and to ensure the safety of those living along the Red River. The fort was completed in 1870/71 and caught on fire in 1895. Some of the troops assisted in suppressing a Fenian Raid into Canada. The privies were full of items dating from the Civil War up through the Indian War era.
Nice aqua cork top bottle that once contained Barry’s Tricopherous for the skin and hair. The front is marked "TRICOPHEROUS FOR THE SKIN AND HAIR.” The back is marked, "DIRECTIONS IN THE PAMPHLET.” The sides are marked, "BARRY’S & NEW YORK.” Nice, excavated example with bubbles in the glass. It’s free of chips and cracks.
