Z7569 .44-40 Multi-Ball Cartridge by Phoenix
Description: Nice example of the .44-40 multi-ball cartridge used in both the Winchester Model 1873 lever-action rifle, and the Colt Frontier Army revolver. This example was manufactured by the Phoenix Metallic Cartridge Company of South Coventry, Connecticut. Three pieces of lead are held within the crimped salmon colored paper sabot. This is a very nice example with light spots and a fingerprint on the case.
