Z7608 .56-56 Spencer Cartridge by U.S.C.Co.
Description: Nice clean example of the .56-56 Spencer rifle and/or carbine cartridge manufactured by the United States Cartridge Company of Lowell, Massachusetts. This cartridge was manufactured after the Civil War for use with surplus Spencer carbines and rifles. It has a pointed lead bullet and a copper case with a raised "US” headstamp. This variant has a slightly off center "US” marking on the bunter.
Headstamp: Raised "US” within an impressed circle.
