Z7697 Gyrojet Experimental/Prototype Two-Piece Plastic Box
Description: Rare, experimental or prototype two-piece plastic box that would have held twenty-five .49 Gyrojet "wadcutter" cartridges. This example has a clear top and a black bottom. This style of box was used by MBA was short lived due to how easily it could break. This box is in decent shape with a few crack lines in the plastic. The clear top has yellowed due to the off gassing of the powder within the rocket cartridges. You can clearly see wear to the inside of the case where the cartridges were at one time. This example comes with a .49 Gyrojet rocket. This example was given directly to Mel Carpenter by Robert Mainhardt.
