Z7717 14 Ga. Pinfire Shotshell by F. Joyce & Co. London

Description: Very nice 14 Ga. N.P.E. shotshell manufactured by the F. Joyce & Company of London. This company was chartered in 1888 and was eventually transferred to Nobel’s Explosives Company in 1910. This example has a raised headstamp which would be one of the earlier shotshells. It has a green paper case with a copper cup and a brass pin. The marking on the side of the paper hull reads, "WATERPROOFED / GAS-TIGHT / CARTRIDGE / MANUFACTURED BY F. JOYCE & CO., LONDON.” A nice example with a light headstamp and an evenly colored green hull.
