Z7730 Aqua Ginger Ale Torpedo Bottle

Description: This is one of several items recovered from the Fort Pembina privies. Fort Pembina was located just west of the Red River and was built to watch over the Sioux and to ensure the safety of those living along the Red River. The fort was completed in 1870/71 and caught on fire in 1895. Some of the troops assisted in suppressing a Fenian Raid into Canada. The privies were full of items dating from the Civil War up through the Indian War era.

Nice, excavated example of an aqua colored Ginger Ale Bottle. This example is not embossed and has numerous air bubbles in the glass and on the surface of the bottom. There is a piece of paper tucked into the mouth of the bottle that reads, "July 2020 / Ft. Pembina / East privy behind / west company quarters.
