Z7737 .38-40 W.C.F. Cartridge with Raised U.M.C. Headstamp

Description: Scarce .38-40 W.C.F. cartridge with the raised U.M.C. headstamp. It’s a solid head cartridge and was manufactured by the Union Metallic Cartridge Company around the mid-1880’s. The raised headstamp was short-lived. This cartridge has a flat nose lead bullet, a brass case, and a copper primer. There is one bump on the side of the nose and a few spots on the case.
