Z7740 .50-45 Bar-Anvil Primed Cadet Cartridge
Description: Decent cartridge known as the .50-45 Cadet cartridge. These were manufactured at the Frankford Arsenal and have a .50 bullet with .45 grains of powder. This example has the early iron Bar-Anvil primer held in place with two crimps just forward of the head. This type of primer was in use from 1866 until it was superseded by the Benet-primed cartridge in 1868. Nice example with some spotting on the copper case.
