Z7772 .58 Rimfire Cartridge by Fitch, Van Vechten & Co.
Description: Hard-to-find .58 rimfire with the desirable FVV&Co headstamp. The headstamp on this example is excellent compared to a lot of the other FVV&Co. cartridges. Fitch Van Vechten manufactured cartridges between 1864-1866. This cartridge would have been manufactured at the tail end of that period for the early .58 Allin, Miller, and Springfield conversion muskets.
This example doesn’t have any dents. There are long draw marks from manufacturing which are a trait of F.V.V.&Co. A very nice example example with a slightly spotted case. The bullet is deeply seated on this example. A hard example to track down!
