Z7771 .56-56 Ballard and Joslyn Carbine Rimfire Cartridge
Description: Very nice .56-56 rimfire cartridge marketed for the .54 Ballard and Joslyn carbine. These were manufactured by C.D. Leet of Springfield, Massachusetts and were packaged 25 to a box. These are similar to a Spencer cartridge, but the bullet is robust with two square grooves. A hard-to-find Civil War Cartridge. This example still has plenty of lubricant on the bullet and on the case which has turned green with age.
