Z7807 Amber Reeds Gilt Edge Tonic 1878 Bottle (Fort Buford)
Description: This is one of several items recovered from the Fort Buford privies. Fort Buford is located at the confluence of the Missouri & Yellowstone rivers in what is North Dakota today. The fort was established in 1866 and decommissioned in 1895. Sitting Bull surrendered here in 1881.

Nicely embossed Reed’s Gilt Edge Tonic bottle with 1878 in the center. This example has been lightly cleaned and needs to be cleaned further. The original cork is on the inside of the bottle. The glass is a mid to dark amber color with a few air bubbles. A nice example with a little sickness.
