Z7891 Rare .40-100 3 ¼” Winchester Experimental Cartridge
Description: Scarce example known as the .40-100 cartridge. This is the experimental forerunner of what is known as the .40-100 Express cartridge. This cartridge has a necked brass case, a Berdan primer, and doesn’t have a headstamp. The projectile has a flat nose and is paper patched. A decent example with a slightly spotted case with writing on the side that could easily be removed. There is one very small dent on the case below the shoulder. The bullet is lightly oxidized and there is a slight crack in the paper patch. A hard-to-find experimental cartridge by Winchester!
