Z1456 Federal Model 1874 Belt with a Hagner 1872 Pattern New Jersey National Guard Buckle
Description: Here is a nice M74 belt with a heavily gilted New Jersey Hagner buckle. The buckle may not have been original to this belt but fits nicely. The leather is still soft and pliable with some crazing. There are two parts on the buckle where there appears to have been an attachment at one time. I'm not sure if they were meant for a hanger strap or shoulder strap. Near the adjustor hook, there is a light maker's mark that I can't quite make out. The initials "R.D.W." are written on the inside of the rig. This set would make a nice addition to any late 1800's Indian War or Spanish American War collection.
Measures: 46" without buckle
Recovered: Surplus Stocks
