Z7901 Eley Percussion Cap Tin for Centerfire Breech-Loading Cases
Description: Scarce, large size tin that once contained 500 Eley waterproof percussion caps for central-fire breech-loading cases. These primers for breech-loading cartridge cases were used in cartridges such as the Colt Thuer conversion revolvers chambered in .31, .36, and .44. The 500 count tins are generally seen in the .44 cased sets. This example has quite a bit of the Japanned finish left. The label is orange with black print and has a few surface scratches. The inside of the tin still retains the paper liner. A nice example that would look great displayed with any Thuer conversion revolver.
