Description: Decent example of the desirable "POINTER” shotshell box sold by the Meriden Fire Arms Company of Meriden, Connecticut. This two-piece box does have some soiling and typical wear. The label is missing a few pieces from the edges. A few seams on the bottom are starting to split. This box empty but once contained red shotshell loaded with British "Triumph” powder. This would date the box to the 1906-1909 time period. The colors on the front appear to be ok and this box may be a good candidate for paper conservation on the face. The top left portion appears to be discolored from dirt or powder. A nice example of a desirable box!
Measures: 4.25” x 4.25” x 2.5”
