Z8211 Federal Goodyear's Patent Sharpshooter Coat Button
Description: Nice example of a Goodyear’s patent vulcanized or hard rubber coat button. These buttons were designated for enlisted men of the "Sharpshooter” brigade. This example has a hard rubber body with a brass shank that is slightly bent. A nice example with a little dust/dirt highlighting the detail on the face.
Backmark: "N(dot)R(dot)Co. / GOODYEAR’S P=T. 1851.” rm
