Z8239 .577/450 Martini-Henry Mark III Cartridge
Description: Nice example of a British .577/450 Mark III cartridge for the Martini-Henry. This cartridge was originally approved in August of 1873. This example was manufactured at the Royal Laboratory and is marked with two broad arrows on the cap chamber. It has a round nose, paper patched bullet held in place with two cannelure crimps. The case is made of rolled brass with two brass cups and an iron head. This example has a few dents on the case which is common.
