Z8353 5.2x68mm Mondragon Rifle Cartridge
Description: Decent cartridge known as the 5.2x68mm Mondragon used in the Mexican Mondragon rifle. The brass case has a very short neck and a single cannelure along with a brass primer. The cannelure keeps the piston ring in place. Upon firing, the piston ring would move forward, significantly increasing the velocity of the projectile. A decent example with some oxidation spots on the case walls, head, and bullet. There is one very small crack at the case mouth which is common on these. A scarce cartridge from the late 1800’s!
