Z8419 Civil War .56-56 Spencer Carbine or Rifle Cartridge
Description: Nice example of the Civil War Era No. 56 cartridge known as the .56-56 Spencer rimfire cartridge. This cartridge was used in the Army & Navy Spencer Rifle, the M1860 Spencer carbine, the No. 56 Ballard, and the No. 56 Joslyn carbine. These were packaged in sleeves of seven cartridges, with six sleeves per box totaling 42 cartridges. This example has a pointed lead bullet with two cannelures and a copper case. The copper case has a few spots. A very nice example!
