Z8428 Confederate Bayonet Adapter by Boyle, Gamble, & McFee
Description: Rare, brass bayonet locking ring manufactured by the firm Boyle, Gamble & McFee of Richmond, Virginia. Unfortunately, this piece is broken which is probably why it was lost. It shares the same traits and similar interior dimensions of a B.G.M. adapter but is half as thick and missing the lug or foot. I showed this to several dealers at the Gettysburg show and nobody had seen one like it! A rare variant! I have included a photo of this adapter next to a standard size adapter for reference.
Measures: 1.061” x .429”
Recovered: Unknown, Ex. Richard "Dick” Hammond Collection
