Description: Nice, excavated Confederate bayonet adapter manufactured by the firm of Boyle, Gamble and McFee of Richmond, Virginia. This example is marked, "BG&M / RICHMOND, VA / PAT SEP 2. 1861” with the strongest side of the stamp on the bottom side. The double foot is clearly marked "10” which is quite clear. The iron screw has rusted away which is common on these. A very nice, patented, Confederate relic.
