Z4408 Rare Empty Box for 10 Poultney's Patented .50 Maynard Cartridges
Description: Scarce issued box that once contained 10 paper & foil Maynard cartridges manufactured under Poultney's patent. These were produced by B.C. English of Springfield, Massachusetts. Most of the .50 Maynard packets you see on the market are for the M1865 and are wrapped in buff plain paper. The side seams have been glued on this example, but the top is still hinged at the bottom. The packet label reads:
