Z3816 Rare .48 Maynard Cartridge with Steel Disc Base (Model 1865)

Description: Excellent and rare .48 Maynard cartridge with the steel disc head. This one comes from the collection of noted author and historian Dean Thomas. There are two types of projectiles loaded in these cartridges. The earlier pointed variety and the later flat tipped variety. This is the later version for the early Maynard model guns. They were later increased to .50 according to Round Ball to Rimfire.
