Z4428 Civil War Era "Umbrella" Inkwell

Description: Nice complete rolled lip, open pontil, inkwell. This style is known as the "Umbrella Inkwell" due to it's appearance. These are often excavated from period privies and huts. This one appears to be recovered from a privy due to the thin coating of lime. It's clean, free of dirt, and has that period open-pontil on the base.
