Z1795 Two Silver Ladder Badges ID'd to William B. Bessom Co. I 8th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Militia
Description: Here are two silver ladder badges belonging to William B. Bessom of Co. I, 8th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Militia. The first badge reads, "Second Prize / Wm. B. Bessom / CO I / 8th Inf. MVM / 1886 / Feb. 26 86." The second badge reads, "2nd Prize / Wm B. Bessom / Co. I / 8th Regiment / CW / MVM." Both badges are hand engraved showing superb detail. According to the historical database there are two William B. Bessoms listed with similar regiments listed. I am assuming these are marksmanship badges for the MVM.
Measures: Left 2" x 2.5" Right 1.5" x 2.5"
