Z4541 Scarce .50 Martin-Primed Cartridge with Patent Date Headstamp

Description: Scarce .50 Martin-primed cartridge that doesn't quite match up with anything in the books. I did put this one up on the IAA cartridge forum and it appears there are two versions of this type. The other version has a headstamp of "PAT 70 GRS." It would make sense that this may be one off cartridge due to the different experimentals that were manufactured around this time. This one is in nice condition with a few small dents on the casing.

Headstamp: Raised "PAT. MAR. / 23 (dot) 1869

Measures: OAL 1.946”, Case Length 1.597", Head Diameter .562", Rim Diameter .660", Case Mouth Diameter .504", Rim Thickness .60"
