Z4320 .50 Gallager Carbine Cartridge Jackson's Patent No. 45,830 January 10, 1865
Description: Here is a very nice cartridge produced by Samuel Jackson in 1865. These cartridges were made of tinned iron wrapped in paper. The majority of these cartridges that you will see have a dark stain towards the base or the middle of the cartridge. This is due to the oxidized tin sleeve leeching through the paper. This cartridge is lacquered and marked 51/100 Jackson
