Z5190 French 51st Line Infantry Coat Button (1844-1871)
Description: Very nice one-piece French 51st line infantry coat button with the later birdcage shank. The backmark may be eligible if the dirt is cleaned off the back. This style of button is quite commonly dug from Crimean War sites as well as those occupied by troops on up through the reign of Napoleon III.
Backmark: Illegible, still covered in dirt
Measures: 23 mm
