Description: Decent example with a cracked casing and a few small dents. This style with the flat nose is known to come in a box labeled "Short Rifle.” The only spot that I know of where these are excavated is the Fort Fisher, North Carolina area. The projectile has a post on the base which held the Elliot’s patented linen patch.
