Z5393 Confederate .577 Columbus Arsenal Cartridge
Description: Very scarce .577 Confederate cartridge manufactured at the Columbus Arsenal in Georgia. The paper on this example shows soiling from age with wear to the base. The words, "Columbus Arsenal” are written in pencil on the back and there is a small hole with a slight powder leak on the bottom. These were manufactured according to the American style cartridge, but the projectile is the Enfield pattern ball. These Confederate cartridges are becoming increasingly difficult to find.
