Z6502 Civil War .56-56 Spencer Carbine or Rifle Cartridge

Description: Very nice Civil War .56-56 Spencer rimfire cartridge. This cartridge could be used in the Spencer carbine or rifle as well as a few other long arms. These were packaged in sleeves of seven cartridges because the tubular magazine held seven cartridges. There were six sleeves per box totaling 42 cartridges. This example is typical of a cartridge that is right out of a sleeve. The lubricant reacts with the copper case turning it green. If I had to take a guess as to the manufacturer of this cartridge, I would say Crittenden & Tibbals.
