Z7568 Federal 4.2” Solid Flat Top Bolt for 30lb Parrott Rifle

Description: Nice example of the 4.2” Parrott "flat top” bolt with the Type II rabbeted brass sabot intact. You can see the five lands and grooves looking at the base of the projectile. This is a solid bolt which means it’s solid iron without a bursting charge. This example has moderate to heavy pitting with a few deeper pockets. It was coated in a silver paint at some point that could be removed via electrolysis. A nice example of the 30lb Parrott "Bolt.”

Measures: OAL 9.5” D 4.1” Weight 30lbs.
